On the 17th of September, GQ magazine hosted a Style Night at Carnaby Street, welcoming the London Fashion Week. The evening started with various artists and Djs playing music all over Carnaby Street and all of the shops were offering 20% off as a discount.
I was asked the other day to list the essentials of my wardrobe and of course like any self respecting fashionista you would mention the chic LBD, the white tee, a perfect fitting pair of jeans, ballet pumps & the list goes on... what surprised me (and believe me it was a surprise as this item came out of nowhere but features highly on my list) is... People, I give you the trainers. From fresh-out-the-box new styles and colours to old school vintages, the trainer as fashion accessory is a must have.
Good morning sunshine!!! The sun is being shy today and is in fact hiding behind the grey and white clouds in the sky. Together with the clouds a frosty breeze brushes through your face and your tight dark blue jeggings feel sticky due to the humidity evident.
Lights start twinkling in the sky, traffic stops and this never ending silence plays like music to your ears. It is this very silence that creates the perfect atmosphere for one to reflect on their self and internal strengths, it is this very silence that allows you to create and process your ideas.
Call me spoiled but the end of summer creates a completely different feeling of sorrow each year. It is the time of the year where you have supposedly recollected your energy and are mentally prepared for the harsh British winter ahead.
I woke up this morning with the wind tingling my hair and drops of the ocean washing down my sun burnt face. As I opened my eyes I felt as if they were weak and sensitive, it was in fact the strong Mediterranean sun that invited my dark brown eyes to take action and observe the unlimited beauty the summer has to offer.
