This Glam Rock, colourful, Ziggy Stardust of a collection shows us just why Pam Hogg brings such a crowd with her whenever showing her creations. The whole way through the catwalk, the crowd were whooping and dancing as the models come out in a range of clothes from a eye watering orange jacket at giant skirt with circular metallic buttons, to a geometric, multicoloured catsuit with fringe.
Hey Dolls, I love fashion and I’m guessing you do too, however this weeks blog is going to be less about clothes and more about what makes woman confident. That could be through clothes however studies show that there are other elements in a woman’s life that can also make a difference to her self-esteem.
"Women think of all colours except the absence of colour. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." —Coco Chanel
Colour is powerful, the meaning globally may differ but their stance is just as important. For example, in South Africa, red is the colour for mourning yet in China it is the luckiest colour to bare and is often associated with money, think HSBC!
Classic, chic and timeless comes to mind when I see a monochrome look being put together. When black and white or in varying tones of only one colour is used it can be described as a monochrome/monochromatic look. It is effortless and minimalistic yet not boring when done right. This is why monochromatic looks and pieces will always be featured in every season. Which is my inspiration behind the looks I've styled Chloe and I in for this fall/winter season.
