The Art of Jewellery 2018
Posted in Trend Alert
When witnessing the recent runway shows, its always noteworthy to take heed to the actual trimmings of the attire, as any admirable fashionista knows the accessories themselves can really make a final look whether by adding character or bringing alternative styles to the piece itself, and jewellery can be a powerful addition to many an outfit.
Unless you blinked, you should have noticed that the decadent 1980s was extremely popular with the designers for this coming autumn/winter, never fear of course, such memoirs are already evident on the high street especially in the form of earrings, one of the vibrant ways to don such a style for 2018 is the over sized and ornate range, you certainly couldn’t go wrong here, plus an easy adornment to determine.
There’s a wonderful rebirth of romance within the jewellery section for this spring, which is rather enlightening. Think pearls and gems getting caught up in the picturesque romance of the Victorian era, as we cover ourselves with stones and crystals, completely OTT; just how the Victorians loved to do things. Dolce & Gabbana and Alexander McQueen provided fine examples of such a representation, so no stylist’s surprises there!
Chokers are back, or did they even go away?! Only this time round, the 80s vibe strikes with such a style, think bling and think attention seeking; Ellie Saab and Oscar de la Renta delivered fabulous examples of this refinement.
I’m actually quite excited about the way brooches have made a come back. Not just to be worn the traditional lapel style, but with the balmier weather fast approaching, why not ornate your summer wear with a headscarf or seasonal sarong by clasping it with such treasures. This delightful Marine Serre headband is a perfect example.
Its enthralling to see how designers have made such artistic and nature inspired approaches to their jewellery for 2018. There is so much to choose from in order to brighten up or literally bring to life ones attire for the day. Enjoy fashionistas.
