Going Bold and Bright for Spring
Posted in Trend Alert
Now that spring is here, it means new trends for the season. With every new season, fashion designers always deliver the latest trends for us to wear. This year, bold and bright colors, and designs that are usually affiliated with summer, have officially moved to the spring. Here are some of our favorites:
Of course no seasonal trend can start unless we have the right outfits. What’s hot right now are brightly colored fabrics. For example, this jumpsuit by Draper James, is made with a very colorful parrot print that is great for a warm day out. In terms of design, asymmetrical necklines were all over the runway during fashion week, including this dress created by designer, Calvin Klein. In addition, it is apparent that fringe is coming back as well! Aside from Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Alexander Wang have all presented us with these outfits that are truly making a statement this year.
Aside from just bright colors, when it comes to patterns, we have found two of our favorites that were put on multiple accessories and outfits for this spring season. Most people wouldn’t even think of this kind of pattern returning to the runway at all, but this year polkadots are now one of the latest trends to hit the market! Junya Watanabe has graced us with this extremely artistic outfit that offers a new twist with oversized spots. But for a more classic look, Rodarte has made this elegant dress. Another pattern that we are loving are rainbow patterns, which offer great colorful outfits, such as this Libertine suit.
Of course no look is complete without the right makeup, and makeup artists have managed to deliver these glamorous looks. This spring’s makeup looks are all about bright eyes or a fresh face. Tadashi Shoji has shown us that the instagram famous mermaid trend is still going on with the help of aqua colored eyeshadow. Meanwhile, Alberta Ferretti presented a look featuring dewey skin, and Chanel truly set the bright-eye trend this year with a smoky silver and blue look at their spring and summer fashion show.
