Hey dolls, over the weekend I decided to have a little weekend trip out into the country and get away from London. We drove out into the country to get away from the busy city life and there I was able to spend a lot of time with family as well as time with my Mac. I was able to catch up with all the fashion shows. However I was so excited to watch Milan Fashion week; Dolce & Gabbana show entitled “Italia is Love” as they are one of my favourite designers.
The two designers had a little surprise for the audience and the surprise was; selfies! And no it wasn’t the audience that were taking pictures it were the models on the runway, yes in the age of social media the two designers have took something so widely done and incorporated it in the fashion show, very daring but shockingly great. The designers did something similar in last seasons show which was a dedication to mothers all round the world and this time it seems to be the obsession of selfies.
As the models strutted down the runway and took selfies, their selfies were projected into the big screens for the audience to see the selfies.
When you are on Instagram next check out the hashtages: #DGselfie #ITALIAISLOVE #dolcegabbana for the runway selfie snaps.
The Spring/summer 2016 show was presented 1950’s style photocards print dresses; it was a presentation of different parts of the beautiful Italy.
The show started with Dolces hometown of Sicily and continued into other parts. The show included 90 different looks.
Here are some of my best looks from the Dolce and Gabbana show.
