Gents: Behold BeSpoke

In recent years, the trend of bespoke clothing (customizable) has reached new heights with websites popping up all across the internet. We have seen websites where custom clothing can be created for the wearer and it has even expanded into flats and heels. While there are plenty of websites for women, it would only make sense if brands for men would catch up on this trend too. However, in recent years there have been new websites emerging that feature: bespoke shoes exclusively for men.

One of the most notable new bespoke shoe websites out today is Awl & Sundry. It all started when founder, Nikunj Marvania couldn’t find a pair of shoes that would fit him. Eventually, Marvania decided to solve the problem himself, and by working with Mario Lanzarotti, theyboth launched Awl & Sundry in 2014. Through the system, the shop directs customers torecord their foot measurements to create a shoe that will fit them.

To ensure that shoes are made specifically to the customer’s measurements, all of the shoes are made by cobblers who craft each pair by hand. Also, they provide excellent choices with premade designs such as Peter, which is great for the office, and Niccolo which can be used for an everyday look.

Across the pond, another website that has shown up emerges from a brand that has been in business since the late Victorian Era: Alfred Sargent. Started in 1899 by the founder of the same name, it has evolved into a bespoke shoe company that makes shoes in a traditional English manner.

Despite manufacturing the old fashioned way, Alfred Sargent is always keeping up with the latest trends. The Cambridge is made with a business-casual appeal, yet is designed to withstand multiple types of weather. Meanwhile, Blake offers a simple yet high quality appearance.

Edward Green:

Speaking of English bespoke shoes, there is even the brand Edward Green, which has also been around since the 1890s. Similar to Alfred Sargent, Edward Green crafts their shoes with immense detail and retains a classic British style in the process.

While everyone has the ability to customize their desired pair of shoes, Edward Green still presents a vast number of options for anyone’s personal taste. Piccadilly  is a set of penny loafers which is ideal for a future fall outfit. Also, the Newbury has a simple and elegant design that is fitting for both formal events and work.

Just like ladies, men can have stylish shoes too. From casual to dressy to sporty, all will suit any outfit. And with BeSpoke’s customizable shoe, men can express their look even more.
